Project: Coopérative of Charmontey - Rue des Marronniers - Vevey (VD)
The project of the Société Coopérative d’Habitation “Charmontey” on Rue de Marronniers consists of two buildings with 78 apartments and 6 commercial units.
The 43 kWp photovoltaic installation produces solar electricity, which is distributed directly to residents through the RCP (Swiss collective system of energy self-consumption) model. This system allows for 99% self-consumption in this case, covering approximately 20% of the buildings' electricity needs.
In parallel, solar thermal panels provide part of the energy for heating and hot water production. For the remaining needs, the building is connected to the district heating system in Vevey.
The project also includes an underground parking lot equipped with an electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with 6 charging stations currently installed.
To facilitate the installation of additional charging stations as demand increases from residents, a flat cable has been installed as part of the infrastructure. The cooperative offers interested residents the option to install a charging station at their parking spot, with a subscription billed directly through their electricity bill.
Additionally, a charging station has been installed in a visitor parking spot, allowing visitors to charge their vehicle and pay directly with their smartphone.
The project also integrates individual metering for heating and hot water in each apartment. Each resident is billed through the service charge based on their actual consumption, encouraging energy savings.
Furthermore, to accommodate the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation, the bike areas in the parking lot are equipped with dedicated charging stations for e-bikes and electric scooters, providing residents with a sustainable alternative for daily commuting.
Climkit manages and bills all energy flows, offering residents a simplified quarterly bill.
The RCP model allows for the creation of a compact electrical panel that directly integrates the meters.
